The food lust... I mean list
It’s been so long that I’ve been a regular in the blogging world, that I decided to borrow one of those lists (thanks Kati). This time it’s about food (darn this post-baby weight)… The rules are simple…
To participate, you must:
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating. (I couldn't figure out how to do it, so I put an 'x' beside these ones)
4) My Optional extra: Italizie any you would like to try
The VGT Omnivore’s Hundred:
1. Venison (nummy, thankfully my man hunts bambi)
2. Nettle tea as well as nettle cheese
3. Huevos rancheros
4. Steak tartare
5. Crocodile (the first time I tried it was just before going to see the first Jurassic Park with my friend Bobby)
6. Black pudding aka blood sausage aka veres hurka
7. Cheese fondue
8. Carp (really gross, but I’ve tried it)
9. Borscht (my mom-in-law makes the best!)
10. Baba ghanoush (tasty and good for you)
11. Calamari
12. Pho (best Pho in Calgary is in a crowded diner-style restaurant in Chinatown)
13. PB&J sandwich
14. Aloo gobi (mmmm…)
15. Hot dog from a street cart (I miss New York)
16. Epoisses
17. Black truffle
18. Fruit wine made from something other than grapes
19. Steamed pork buns (one of my favs)

23. Foie gras (LOVE the stuff… Haven’t had it since my delightful dinner at the Eden Room in Banff about a year ago)
